Cylinder 1 misfire
So, went to Oreily's and had them hook up my truck to their scanner to check the coolant temp and track it from a cold engine to see if my thermostat is bad this causing the lack of heat in the cab. Turns out it's fine and so is the blend door, blend door actuator, blower, airflow, etc. All that's left to blame is the heat core, and they want $1000 to pull the dash and replace it. Being the truck has a value of $3800 at best, I'm not gunna spend that. So, a dash mounted 12v heater/defroster will have to suffice. (Suggestions on one to get?)
Anyways, during the live scan we saw that cylinder 1 was misfiring. I'm guessing that means the coil is bad as I just had new plugs put in.
Leads me to the question. How do you test a plug and coil? They could just need cleaning for all I know...
Any tips on replacing them?

In the process of doing that now, just did a complete system flush and a burp. Will burp again later tonight and a flush again next week.
Lots of rust and build up. The last radiator rusted out and leaked water into the transmission... So there's still a lot of rust in the system.
