My 97 f150 4.6 is having issues. The other day upon starting the engine, the A/C and cruise didn't work. I was going to check later when I had time to see if the reverse lights were out too, as I noticed in owners manual that there was a relay for all 3. In the mean time, he next time I restarted the engine all was well.
Now today when I started it, no A/C again. Probably no cruise, but didn't get a chance to check that. I tried to turn engine off and tried to restart, but now no power to starter it seems. I have all lights, but starter don't even try when I turn the key. My guess would be ignition switch, but with the no a/c & cruise problem does this make since ??

Turn the ignition to the on position, and try to jump the starter with a screwdriver.

I'm getting power as far as the starter side of relay, so must be either solenoid or starter ? Don't know what that would have to do with my A/C and cruise not working ?? Any ideas on that ??

You have multiple issues none of which are related, that's how it goes with older vehicles.
You need a technician to get hands on as that is the only way to diag some electrical problems.

Starter side of relay has power, but solenoid isnt getting power. Ignition switch ? Or ignition cylinder ?
