Default Coil pack question

Just heard from my mechanic (whom I've used for over 15 years and trust immensely) that the reason for the check engine light is that my 2012 F150 EcoBoost needs a new coil pack on one side. My truck only has 59,600 miles!!! Is this normal? Should I go to the Ford dealership and get a second opinion? My truck, of course, is no longer under warranty.

Thanks

More likely it needs fresh plugs - they are HELL on plugs. Sp-534's.

Post the code. Move the COP to another cylinder. If the code moves it's the COP. If not, it's the plug ( or something else).
