What is the proper way to bleed master slave in a 1996 ranger?

You're pretty much screwed....... Just kidding, but it is difficult at best without a pressure bleeder. I have a 92 Explorer and the clutch setup is basically the same. The slave cylinder is inside the trans case and has no access from the outside. You have to force the fluid through the loop that feeds this cylinder and back up to the master cylinder. All the pumping in the world won't do it. Check with your auto parts store for a rental unit to do the bleeding. It is similar to a pressure bleeder for the brakes. There is a Ranger Forum you can try asking. Just Google it. Good luck PS I paid a shop $100 to do mine after screwing with it for a week.

Search Ranger master cylinder bleeding online, there is a video. You have to nail it to a wall off the truck to bleed it.
