Climate Control issue in my 06 SCAB
Hello Friends,
I am having what appears to be a fairly common issue with my defrost/vent control in my truck. I found a few great posts about foam insulation breaking free and jamming the vent flapper and how to fix it. It turns out that it wasn't the issue. I removed the actuator and did a visual test and the motor and gears appear to function. However, the motor does not appear to respond to a change in the function switch as I believe it should. I am assuming that the actuator should respond to a change in the function switch almost immediately but this one is not.
Is this an issue with the controller or the motor itself?
Has anybody else had the same issue?
Does anybody have a method of troubleshooting the problem without simply changing components?
Thanks!
