Clearcoat Drips
I literally just put my clearcoat on my tailgate and I have some pretty bad drips from putting it on to thick. What is the best way to remove this? I literally just put it on so if it's best to do it while it's wet, let me know so I can fix it. Thanks!!

Ok, but it's pretty bad. Will I be able to get rid of it by hand. Also, I plan on wet sanding with 1000 grit then using Meguiar's Ultimate compound on top of it. What grit do I use to get rid of the drips?

I'm no expert, but I'd go 1000 then 1500 then 2000. Then UC , then maybe UP after that then a nice wax or sealant. Make sure to soak the paper well and get a good sanding block. Go slow and don't rush it. You will want to let that clear age a while, not sure how long maybe someone else can say?

Okay, thanks! So you think the 1000 grit will take care of the drips? I saw somewhere else, some guy ran a razor across clearcoat drips then sanded and polished. Maybe if I flatten the drips with a razor first it would be easier to sand down?
