Welcome to the site!
Need a bit more information - model year, engine, transmission, etc. would be great.
Offhand - pull the negative cable off the battery for about 30 minutes. Should clear the computer codes and reset all learned offsets. However, if the fault is still present, the light will come back on.
Suggest to have the codes read - AutoZone does this for free, except in CA as I understand it. If you're going to do this, do it before you pull the negative cable. The computer ain't likin' something. Once you determine what it don't like, then you can decide on a course of action - fix it, or pull that pesky lamp out.
