Default Changing Rear End Fluid

I searched but apparently not good enough. I'm trying to find out when I should change rear end fluid on my 2012 with 45k on it. I tow a boat maybe 15 times a year and lost several rear ends on past Dodges so I'm leaning on the side of caution hear.
Any advice and/or suggestions on this would be appreciated.

Pretty sure the manual says it's doesn't need to be changed. In past vehicles, I always did every 50K, with this truck having the ELock I may even decide to do it every 25K. Waste of money maybe but hey it's mine. And I get great discounts, normally Motorcraft rearend fluid is like $17 a quart so be prepared to spend $50 on fluid if you buy Motorcraft.

Also will be installing Maghytech cover when I do change it the first time.

It may be different on newer models but for the 2005 the manual says that the fluid does not need to be changed unless the rear axle is ever in water that is above the axle. Does that occur when the boat trailer is in the water? Since my truck has more than 200k in miles I went ahead and changed it at the 200k mark.

I'm a fan of PMs. I get such great deals in fluids and do my own labor the price is justifiable to me. And peace of mind goes a long way. I'm told I'm retarded for changing my oil every 3K but hey it can only help!

Motorcraft Syn Blend and Filter Only!

It cost me $10 to do oil changes. Ford gave me free oil changes for 3yr/36K every 5K. So they change it once, then I change it and the oil and filter cost me $20....
