Ceramic Brake Pads
Does anyone use ceramic brake pads? I have a new 2009 F150 FX4 and was told to change the stock brake pads for ceramic pads as ceramic pads don't cause brake dust which pits the alloy wheels. What do people do? Is this a problem?

Haha what a crock of bs. Your fine, Ceramic brake pads are better than semi metallic pads but if you truck is just for daily driving your fine even if your towing your fine. They due have less dust and thats why alot of people like them but if you clean your truck like any other truck lover you have nothing to worry about. Just wash your truck once a week.

Yes, ceramic pads reduce brake dust by 99%. If it the dust bothers you I would just change them at you next pad change. I have found that they perform a bit better, but not much.

Many stores have a lifetime warranty on these pads, meaning when they are worn to a certain point you may return the cores and get a new set for free. And to drmctsford, many people believe that true truck lovers leave their rigs dirty...

I gave up on keeping mine clean this year - every time I washed her up it rained the next day. We've had so much rain this year it's just impossible to keep my truck clean!

We carry Monroe brake pads, both ceramic and metallic. Right now we're offering 20% off pads with the purchase of 4 shocks. Additionally Monroe has a $20 mail in rebate per set of brake pads as well. That promo runs through the end of this month.
