Default can throttle body cleaner cause a leak?

I cleaned my 04 f150's throttle body with throttle body cleaner spray and now my idle jumps all over and when sitting in the truck it sounds like air is pumping against the hood. My question is- can throttle body cleaner cause an intake leak?

Pull the IAC valve off and clean it real good. IAC= idle air control.

After doing some research, it looks like 2004-08 f150's don't have an IAC. I replaced the throttle body motor(since they don't have throttle cables) and throttle position sensor thinking that I may have damaged them while cleaning the throttle body but it is still running awful, that is why I am thinking maybe the throttle body fluid may have cracked a hose or something. Or is this not possible?

Did you take any hoses off or anything? You would think it would throw a code running that bad. Injectors and coils all plugged in? Giant vacuum leak? Kind of hard to diagnose over the internet.

Ahh I see said the blind man, I had an 04 Explorer and it had one, it also still had a cable for throttle. I left the dealer in 04 so I didn't have a chance to check them out closely.

Any codes in the computer? You can have codes and not set a check engine light.

Default Did you take the throttle body off to clean it

I took mine off to clean it on my 5.4l 2005 f150. Found out I had defective throttle body series beginning with 3L changed the whole thing out for 200 bucks on ebay . I did not change out rope like gasket at base . Mine cleaned okay and ran good until new one came in . I did not want all that tar like gunk going into engine from cleaning , could foul plugs etc. You need to get the codes being set .
You may have damaged an intake gasket or throttle body gasket . See how to make a homemade smoke tester on u tube to see leak . I would recheck all connectors on intake and hose connections too.
I made smoke machine for my wifes explorer - worked great- found problem .Used new paint can, cigarillo ,tygon tubing , duct tape, schrader valve on paint can to push smoke into brake booster hose .

Although any engine cleaner doesn't usually cause a leak, cleaning off grease and gunk can expose an area that was leaking or ready to leak. Try using WD-40 with the engine warm and idling, spraying around the intake manifold. If the engine smooths out you have a gasket leak. Usually you'll get (2) codes P0172 and P0174 lean codes with this condition. Also don't overlook the vacuum lines at the PCV valve and the valve itself. Good luck

Thank you fellas! I found the problem. it was a hard to find hose that managed to wiggle itself free. The truck is running like a champ now.
