Cabin air filter
Hey guys, does anyone know where the cabin air filter is located on the 2006 F-150? I'd like to put a new "fresher" one in. I'm thinkin it may be behind the glovebox, but i don't wanna tear all that stuff out to get to it.

Check the maual, my 01 tell how to change it. Mine is a Taurus, but it would be the same idea. It is in front of the windshield, you have to remove a panel fron the outside to gain access to it. Hope the will get you started.

I just checked the Ford Shop Manual for the '04 & '05s and this is what it said:
Air Distribution
NOTE: The air distribution system of this vehicle cannot be equipped with a cabin air filter.

CABIN AIR FILTERS.
My F - 150 does not have one. My Windstar does. When I first got the van, I used to pay $ 22 for a new filter and $ 12 to install it.
Then I went to Autozone, bought a new one for $ 13. Then I found the old one could be gently washed in sink and when dry reused.
Never bought a new one since. Easy.
