Default A/c shutting off

I have a 2012 f150 and my a/c is shutting off when I turn the fan speed above 4 bars consistently(I have the navigation dash so I do not have dials that turn). I did some quick research and found people were replacing the ac resistor behind the glove box. Is this what I need to do or am I experiencing something different?

That resistor hack, if it is the one talked about in the big post on ac issues, is not for that. That's a hack to make the system run colder in poor performing systems that Ford will not fix.

Unless there is another resistor that I am unaware of! Maybe a relay or something else, cant help you but maybe my bump will help you!
