Default A/C only working on high

My 2000 f150's a/c was working fine untill my new cd player i instaled
fried and messed up. Now it will only work on high a/c and heat. if anyone has any idea why that happend, or what i need to do to fix it let me know.

my mom has the same issue in her 02 villager...idk what it is...i didnt see any issues with electircal...any imput would be nice...glad its not just me

The problem is the blower motor resister.

how do you go about replacing these? as in where are they?

The resister will probably be behind the glovebox. It may also be on the exposed A/C box under the hood. It will be on the heat/AC plenum. Can probably see it by looking under dash on passenger side at the heater box. Replace it and the blower will most likely work A-OK.
