Default Brake disc

I have 2013 f 150 I had to change my front disc they were rusted etc,it may be I don't use the truck enough it only has 20000 miles,what can I do to prevent it in the future I know to drive it more can I cover the tires when not the truck etc Any suggestion

You live in the rust belt, it's the salt they use to melt the iced over roads. I only have 11,000 or so miles on my 2013 and the only rust is surface.

You could cover the wheels but I doubt it would make any difference.

its the rotors i had to replace they were deep rusted
only 22000. miles
on truck
very disappointed you think covering wheels would help when sitting in drivway

The damage comes when you drive, the best thing you can do is to wash the undercarriage when you get home after every time you have to drive when there's snow on the ground, at the very least spray everything underneath with a garden hose with some type of blast nozzle.

you have to drive it after washing the salt off, to dry the rotors off. my 2012 is
gonna need rotors soon due to rust. it has 32k on it sits all summer, it is my winter ride.
