Blower motor smoking
I just finished washing my truck this afternoon and drove to the store. When I started it back up after leaving the store I got a burning smell and slight smoke from the vents and then the blower quit working. It has been extremely cold here the last week but today wasn't that cold. The wheel may be frozen but unlikely as it was running for a bit. My service dep can't get me in till next week but I'm wondering if it might be a thermal switch in the motor,a fuse blown or if it's totally shot

Any time you smell electrical burning and see smoke it usually means the motor windings, that are sealed with lacquer, have overheated, and the motor is shot. Because of the fresh air intake being located near the blower, and you just washed the truck, you may want the shop to check the seals on your air box at the same time.
