Backup sensors and Ice/Water issues?
Hey all,
FYI - 04 F150 Lariat SCREW.
Every once in a while (seemingly most often after I wash the truck), my backup sensors alert with a solid tone any time I put the transmission in reverse. This occurs when the rear is completely clear. After a day or so they work fine again and the problem does not seem to return until wet weather, or I wash the truck again.
I am suspecting the contacts/plugs might be loose or cracked on one or more, so I'll have to try to clean and grease them. Before I waste hours on this one, is this a common problem? Any thing else I should be looking for while I'm at it?
Thanks.

I have never had that problem and my truck gets washed every weekend. With the limited number of variables though, I guess it is possible. Try di-electric grease and keep us posted if it helps.
Cheers.
