Anti Theft Sys - 2003
I have an '03 F-150 Crew Cab. It will not start and the anti-theft light keeps blinking so I think it's engaged. I can unhook the battery for about 30 minutes and it will start. But after a period of time it will happen again. Is there a way to reset the anti-theft device with out going into the dealership? Is there any thing else I should check?

Is the light flashing very fast or the normal random blip?
With a PATS [passive anti theft system] problems you almost always have to go to a dealer.
Here's something simple to try is switching keys to see if the problem keeps happening the same way. If in any way the key has a problem this will set the PATS too.

The truck started all day yesterday with no problem.
We also discovered when it rains we get some water on the drivers side floor board. I followed the water up the back wall into the dash.
Maybe something got wet under there and caused some malfuncation....
