Another BRPV-10 Brake Vacuum Pump failure
Hi all,
Last September I installed a new pump, OEM part number BRPV-10.
As of a few weeks ago, its making the dreaded noise again. It's only been 14 months!
So, trying to be smarter and seeing that the pumps might be failing due to a combination of questionable quality and exposure to road salts, moisture, etc., should I seal it with something?
I'm trying to figure out if I can only protect this pump from road abuse better by sealing it in silicone or something else prior to installation?
Anyone else tried this yet?
I'm almost resigned to the idea that my truck runs great but that I have to put a $350 pump in it nearly every year...
Ideas? Help?
It's sitting on my dining room table staring at me...
Thanks in advance,
