Default Alarm Tripped: Remote Start Not Working

I've search the forum and Google and can't find an answer. The remote start on my 2013 Platinum stopped working. I have read that tripping the alarm (which I did) will cut off the remove start. How can it be reset?

Did you trip the alarm opening the hood? If so disconnect the hood switch (driver fender) and reconnect it, close the hood and lock the truck with the fob and try to remote start it.

My kids and I were sitting in the truck with the doors locked and alarm set when I opened the door.

Pretty sure it resets when you re lock the truck with the fob, if not disconnect the battery ground for 15 mins.

I re-locked with the fob and even waited overnight. I'll disconnect the battery and see how that works. Thanks.

Well, it didn't work. I disconnect the battery for about 30 minutes and made sure everything else work after reconnecting it. I started the engine, put it gear, shut it off and locked the doors. No remote start.

Is or was your check engine light on recently? Remote start is disabled if so, other than that I'm out of ideas.

Now that you asked, yes. The check engine light came on briefly last night. It has not come back on.
