Default Adjusting E-brake cable tension 2002 f150

My back right e-brake fell apart and was rattling around in the wheel so I purchased a hardware kit and shoes for both sides. Cleaned everything out , installed new shoes and the "drum in hat" brake rotor does not fit over the shoes. The bottom brake shoe tensioner is all of the way loose so I am guessing I need to loosen the tension in the cable? If so, how do I go about doing this? Appreciate the help in advance.
thanks,
Austin

Your brake emergency cable is a two piece cable that is connected under the truck below the drivers seat. There is an adjuster at that location, usually two nuts on a an all thread shaft. Loosen the front nut and then back off the rear one. It will look similar to this. http://s60.photobucket.com/user/Fayz...uster.jpg.html
