Default ABS problems

Help! My battery died today as a result of my alternator going out. Both were replaced. When I drove away from the repair shop at approximately 30-35 mph, my brakes slowed my car down abruptly. They would release and I could accelerate again. This continued to occur. I am not certain it is my brakes/ABS but it felt like my brakes were engaging and I never stepped on the brakes. Please help with any possible problems solving techniques.

Year, Engine, Model, would help.

Unplug alt - does that help??

Did you make SURE your emergency brake was released COMPLETELY?

Default brakes problem on an 1997 ford f150

i have a 1997 ford f150 with an 4.2 l engine and when a put it in reverse i loose my brakes sound crazy to me but it happens ever time please help
