Default 99 f150 heater core replacement

need to know if this is something I can do and what special tools does it take and how long does it take. does the dash have to come out completely?

It will take you all day and yes the dash has to come out. I would recommend a subscription to Alldata for straight up answers: https://www.alldatadiy.com/
