98 f150 wont start
Ive got a 98 f150 4.6l v8
I just changed the spark plugs, plug wires, oil, fuel pump, filter, strainer, fuel pressure regulator, battery, spark plugs again. Its been coding Oxygen2 for some time now. Ok driving on hwy it slowly decreased in speed from 70 to 40 very quickly, broke down on the side of road it began shaking horribly. We were told fuel pump then this then that. We have changed just about everything everyone can think of bit it hasnt fixed the problem. Its struggling to start and when it does it sounds like crap. Still undrivable! Ive dropped 600$ into this today and I'm tired of it. Does anybody have any ideas whaft to try next? I need this fixed ASAP!! PLEASE HELP.

Have you checked the fuel pump control module? It's located under the spare tire on the cross frame rail over the rear axle. They can crack and rust and cause intermittent or total fuel pump operation failure.

The 98 doesn't have a fuel pump driver module, they are on 04 up. what is the fuel pressure? An o2 sensor would not cause the symptoms you are describing, and it certainly would not cause it to lose all power.

Hi,
I have a f150 2006, and had the same problems, i changed the fuel pump and the fpdm, and didn't fix it.
The problem was the fuel inertia switch, I found out when keep pressing the button of the switch and the truck started, if i depressed, the truck stalled.
