96 F150 intermittent hard starting
#11
Same problem
I have a 96 and went through the same experience. On the good side of this experience I replaced almost everything that could be replaced so I'm good for a while of any little thing going wrong. My truck would do the same thing once it got hot or up to temperature. Do a fuel pressure test. I think you'll find you're not running enough pressure and so you have a half bad fuel pump. Once I replaced the fuel pump I had no more problems. You'll have to do the test when the engine is up to temp and anything less than around 90 pounds tells you it's a pump. Mine registered around ninety when it was cold, but after not starting and it was hot, I barely got 45 pounds out of it. Hope this helps.
