Default New Coils and Plugs

My 5.4 07 f150 kept missing shifting in and out of overdrive so my mechanic told me if it was his hed replace all the coils and plugs. He charged me 600$ and and extra 60$ on the hole for every plug that brooe off in the engine. Of corse my luck all 8 of them broke. So 1060$? This is a pretty good price right?
I tried to tell the dealership what it was doing bc i had a waruntee but they just kept saying there was nothing to fix it was fine.

Think I'd be looking for a different mechanic. Don't know about 'mechanicing', but the guy isn't great at math.

$600.00 + ($60.00 x 8) = $1080.00

$1060.00 is high, but to me, the problem is wholesale replacing ALL 8 COPs right out of the box. AND, even if the $20.00 difference on his price was a discount on labor (must have been, if based on broken plugs), the base $600.00 doesn't sound to me like he used quality Motorcraft parts.

Hope it all worked out for the good otherwise.
