My '86 F-150 recently would not start due to ( I thought) the clutch safety switch. I bypassed the switch and it worked fine for a few starts but then quit. Being lazy, I got a pushbutton switch and wire to connect to the relay and it usually works fine. The other day I stuck the key in and it started with the key! This worked for a couple of times then stopped again and I'm back to using the pushbutton... Any Ideas?

Further info. Now it is a crapshoot as to whether it will start with the key, or require using the pushbutton. All ideas welcome and appreciated.
