I have a 2002 with a V-6 and the 5 speed manual trans. I bought it about 2 years ago and it has always been a little difficult to shift. Especially when cold. I have changed the fluid several times using the recommended Dexron fluid with no help. I was wondering if there is any additive that will help or is this wear on the trans. Thanks for any help

did you ever adjust the linkage? if its to bad you will kill the syncros

I don't know if this tranny is the same as the older ones but the older ones have a tendency to wear out the shifter bushings, causing hard shifting.

I have not looked at the shifter linkage. That looks like a good place to start. It definetly feels like syncro rings, Just difficult enough to get in gear to be a pain.
