Using a non Motorcraft filter is the cause in the SSM, it doesn't say using a Motorcraft filter will fix it.

It is using Cheapy filters that is causing the problems. I am not gonna point the finger at which ones they are......But the Motorcraft filters or a better quality filter will not cause the problems with dislodging the filter media into the engine oil galleys.

Here is a description of the filter media. Non metal end caps, paper media, non silicone ADBV valve(which can come apart under extended OCI's).

Check out episode 22 here: http://www.flatratetech.com/index.php?categoryid=4

IIRC, the procedure ends up being around 5 hours total for both sides.

That is why you use a filter with a ADBV valve. Not the cheapy $1.95 cost foreign built POS filters.
