4WD grinding intermitting, what damage is being done

Default What kind of damage is happening??

Hi, I'm still trying to get my F150 fixed. Its under warrenty. what kind of damage is being done while all the grinding and the slamming into out of 4 wheel drive??

Jack your truck up and test your wheels, looseness, unusual noise/dry wheel brgs. Locate which side is worse and open it up. Don't run it until the wheel comes off, you will overturn in a ditch if your lucky and worse. A bad front drive shaft can also be checked. Rotate and listen for bad noises coming from your gear box and axles. Pull your drain plug and see if it is full of metal pieces.
