Default A couple of 2005 F150 issues

I just bought a 2005 XL 4x4 5.4 L, with 116,000 miles. It has a couple of issues I would like for you guys to give me some information on. I don't know too much about cars so sorry for my lack of technical jargon.

1. There is about a 5 or 6 second hesitation with shifting the truck into drive?

2. When I first start to drive the truck and I come to my first stop the ABS kicks in, and then the ABS light and the Brake light come on the dash, but the ABS doesn't kick in anymore and the truck brakes fine from that point on.

3. If my speed get above 55 MPH the steering wheel really starts to vibrate pretty bad.

4. At the rear axle right in the center of the axle it seems to leak a black fluid.

Any help you guys can give me would be great. Thank you very much.

did you buy it from a dealer? if so take it back and ream some serious *** for ripping you off and make them replace the rear seal on the axel, probably a couple of different steering and suspension pieces in the front, and the brakes could be anything from a sensor, electrical ghost or a bad controller.

The vibration sounds like the tires needs balancing

I second the balancing, Go to your local tire shop and have them even that out.

1. hesitation fro engaging drive could be low tranny oil level.
2. your abs is not working. if you're lucky it one of three sensors, one located on top of rear end and one at each front wheels.
3. wheel balancing or bad shock could cause bounce.
4. input pinion seal needs replacement.
