Hey i'm new here, i got a 99 f-150 with a 4.6. i have been reading threads tryin to find if someone else has com across my problum and there seem to be a few, but not the exsact same. When i fire my truck up with seems to make a weird honking noise and my rpms shoot up. If i hit the gas it stops. When driving it will do it on occasion and you just hit the gas and it stops. I have cleaned out my throddle body and checked the sencers in my K&N intake. i have checked my vaccum lines and they seem to be fine as well. I have read in a couple posts that it could be a AIC. I am wondering where this is located on my truck and how i can tell if it needs to be replaced or if i should just replace it anyways.

I am getting the same thing in my truck. I also have a 4.6L with a k & N Intake system in my truck. I hope we both can find a solution to our problem.
