30,000 mile air filter interval?
I have had my truck serviced at the dealer 3 times this year; every 4 months - because they gave me 3 free services to be used in the first year. Only 13K miles on the truck now.
I was surprised that none of the write-ups stated air filter changed... Oil, Oil Filter, Tire Rotation....multipoint inspection...
So I checked my manual and found the recommended air filter change was at 30,000 miles.
I have the ecoboost - is 30K miles excessive? I was thinking more like 10-15K miles would be the maximum...

While it's recommended at that service length, different areas of the country will make that number shorter or longer. High dust/debri areas will make the life considerably shorter. They might be taking it out and blowing the surface dust off then reinstalling. Might want to check with your service department if that is something they do.

I have a good relationship with their service dept - I'll ask them. It's simple enough to pull the filter out and check it / blow it off if it looks necessary. Plus, it's a $17 part...once a year preventative maintenance seems worth it to me.

I changed mine at 35k miles & 9 years.....Oooops
I did check it several years ago & it looked fine
It definitely needed it this time around. I won't go that long again
Biggest problem is sucking up dirt & oil from the road
I can tell the difference in the sound
