295lb/ft torque wrench
So, I'm trying to round up supplies to do the brakes on my 2004 F150 XLT and the "big-boy book" says to torque the front hub nut to 295 lb/ft. My torque wrench only goes to 150 lb/ft. Where do you get one that big without paying a fortune? I may try Autozone loan-a-tool. I found one for $100 that does 250 lb/ft. That should be enough. . . .yes, no?
Thanks,
Randy

I could have saved you a lot of time. Just get a socket, breaker bar, piece of pipe and friend that weighs 295 lbs. lol When I did VW axles @ 600 lbs I used two friends.....have fun while you're fixin'

HAHAHA!! Thanks alot. I could also just get a 36" long cheater bar and put 100 lbs. on it too. Too much trouble. Actually, a buddy of mine at work has a 300 lb. Sweet!!!

That's like getting the spindle off a Dana 60 king pin, it's like a 2" (or something around that) Allen key that's at 600 something pounds....

Geez our normal torque wrench for lug nuts won't go that high either. But when we get box trucks in we bust out our 3-piece 6ft long torque wrench that goes to like 700lb/ft
