2015 f150 rattling briefly on acceleration
I have read other posts but can't seem to find an answer for my problem. I just bought a 2015 f150 with 11k miles. When it is cold, shortly after driving down the road I hear a rattle noise. I reminds me if a tin pie pan full of bolts being shook. If I let off the gas it stops. Lasts for 15 seconds. My 2009 f150 did the same thing and no one could figure it out. Possibly the heat muffler shield. Does anyone understand what I am explaining and have a possible answer??
Thank you in advance.

On mine, the shielding is very close to the exhaust crossover pipes bolt...may have a look at that.

Step on the tailpipe
Having similar issue on the used F-150 5.0 I just bought. It sounds like exhaust rattle when the RPMs are right. While it was rattling, I put my foot on the exhaust pipe and it disappeared. Gonna ask my mechanic to tighten things up when I get it inspected - as required in NY.

don't know if this is applicable in your case. I own a 1998 f150 and whenever I use to accelerate, I would hear a rattling noise. turns out it was the shield around one of the catalytic converters being loose. put a hose clamp around it, and haven't heard the noise since.

Any updates on this?
My rattle was amplified after custom tunes were installed?
1st to 2nd gear around 2000 to 2500 rpms!
