My truck had 26,000 on it and was wondering if anyone would use or recommend any fuel or oil additives to make the motor run healthier

No not at all

Stay away from additives, just use good gas and the recommended oil.

87 octane is fine, I should have said a good brand of gas or top tier.

Well i live on a military base so I guess you can call it PX gas lol but otherwise i put the cheapest pricest

No such thing as mechanic in a can. As previously posted buy quality top tier fuel and proper routine maintenance.

Run a bottle of Chevron ''Techron'' through it from time to time, advice I got from the ''Corvette Forum''. I put some in the wife's Lincoln MKZ every 5,000 miles or so, even though we run top tier gas [ Shell, Texaco, Exxon, etc. ]
