northflguy - Yes installing the pads on the wrong side can cause noise all the time. It is accompanied by the brake rotor and caliper getting extremely hot.

OK, thanks. So tomorrow morning maybe I can fix this...I think. LOL How do I know which pad goes on the inside vs. the outside?

So a couple days ago I pulled off both front wheels and inspected pads/rotors.....pads are on correctly.....noise is still there. I'm at the dealer right now, having the master cylinder recall done....told them about the noise. We shall see what happens later today.
Dealer thought it was the wheel bearings. Dealer replaced both front wheel bearings. Noise is still there. Dealer thinks something is amiss in the front differential. The good thing is that I didn't have to pay a dime today, even though the truck was there from 8am to 5pm. The bad thing is I have to make another appt at the dealer, but this too will be covered since it is a drivetrain issue.
