2012 F150 Ecoboost - Metallic popping when accelerating
When driving my I am hearing a strange metallic popping sound. It sounds like it is coming from the front left side. It is only present when driving and my foot is on the gas pedal. There is no hesitation or loss of power. To me it sounds like there is pebbles bouncing around in fan blades. It almost sounds like popcorn if that makes any sense.
It does not happen in park, while revving the engine.
***UPDATE*** When I switch to 4x4 mode, the sound disappears.
The sound is really clear at the 45 second mark. Please excuse the poor camera work.
Any help is appreciated.
