2012 F150 - Difficulty Braking in Reverse
I have a 2012 F150 Ecoboost SCREW FX4.
Sometimes, but not all the time, when the truck has been sitting for a while (especially overnight) and I put it in reverse, I have a hard time braking.
I practically have to stand on the brake to get the truck to stop. The truck will often shake (like the ABS is being applied).
I’ve looked around, but I can’t find a cause. One dealer suggested moisture, but I’ve had it happen on a 90 degree sunny day with little humidity and no chance for condensation on the brakes.
It’s almost caused an accident once or twice (before I really knew to be extra careful when I back up).
Any ideas?
