2012 Ecoboost ticking when cold?
Hi every one I have a 2012 screw long box 4x4 eco boost, and my question is, is it normal that my truck makes a ticking noise when I start it up? And I only really notice it when the truck is warming up. Thanks for any info

My 2011 is doing the same at cold start. I taught the motor oil was due to be changed but it didn't improved anything. Then I taught is was something damaged in the motor area. After searching for solving this problem on forums like here and others, it look's like we aren't the only one whit this thing that seem normal after all.
This noisy rattle (the typical sound description for mine) at cold start come from the high pressure fuel rail & injectors. Some others will say it come from the cams phase due to oil pressure lost from incorrect oil filter:

Hope this can help!

i am pretty sure it is one or more of your injectors. my fuel injectors were raising total hell and after replacing them (easy to do) man was it quite. get you a stethoscope and pin point the noise

When I listened to the truck in the video I was shocked. My Truck is a lot quieter more like an exhaust manifold ticking? But in not sure. I ll have to have it looked at next service.
