2011 F150 Noise in dash
When key is turned over. Especially if the ac/heater button is on. It will make like a grinding noise then almost sounds like its running on a track.Does this in intervals*of 1 to 8 then it stops. Sounds like its coming from behind the instrument panel. My vents dont work right also. Could this be like a vent/blower motor going out. I just purchased this truck. First thing I did was got a Haynes manual but I really can't find anything in it about this...any help would be appreciative. ...

I agree. "Blendoor"You can have someone help you with testing this. The motor for the Blendoor is under the dash just to the right of the tunnel, very close to the floor. Put your hand under the dash and turn the key to "On". If the motor is going bad you will feel the grinding in the plastic housing. Go to YouTube and look up "Blendoor Repair" There are some great videos.
