I have a 2011 f150 4x4 crewcab,5.0....it has 106,000 miles on it.In the last two weeks,it suddenly loss power,the open end wrench icon came on,and the speedometer went to zero?Has anyone had this problem?I read that it may be an output shaft sensor?Mechanic today told me the sensor was internal on this model?Help!!!

This doesn't sound transmission related. I think you have a fueling issue, or quite possibly need new spark plugs. In any case, a tune up at 106k would be the first step.
