So get this, it randomly worked just now. Only for about 3 minutes, but that leads me to believe it's the contacts and not the entire window.

Immediately after trying it, feel the cover for the contacts. If it is warm or hot, that is likely it.

To get the lite on the dash to come on, can`t you put 12 volts to the yellow wire and let the resistor that`s in the yellow wire cut the voltage down ?

Rdagw look at post 78 & 81. I did exactly what you are asking. My truck is a 2013 and I do know the previous years have a slightly different wiring. 12v to the dash might work, but I used 5v. I didn't want to blow the Led.

I have an 09. No rear defrost. The heated mirrors do nothing even though the led on the dash says they are on.

I don't think its the same problem as we're having.

On my truck I have checked the fuses. All good. But in position #4 it looks like there should be a relay for Heated Mirrors and Backlit, whatever that is. I'm going to try dropping a relay in there and see what happens. The led light on the dash lights up when I push it, but mirrors do not defrost. No defrost in the back window on this ride, so isn't the widow contact. 2009 Lariat.

Has anyone tried to see what the connection is made of between the pass. rear and center window? If I had an old window I would cut the molding at the bottom to see if anything is there.
