2010 ford platinum back up camera not working right
My 2010 Ford F150 platinum rear back up camera is not working right when i put it in reverse the video on the screen is flashing and sometimes its in black and white. Other times the video picture is flipped as if looking in a mirror like if i see a car in the mirror on the driver side the backup camera shows the car on the passenger side. Does any one know what I can do to fix it?

I have an '11 Lariat. My camera problems started the same way. One day I put it in reverse and the screen went black, then flashed, went black, then a notice saying something about the signal. Afterwards the camera worked but had no guidelines, and I couldn't work most of the settings. Took it to the dealer and they did an update on the camera software. The guidelines came back. I took her home. The next day same problem, no guidelines, etc.. So I took it back to the dealer again. This time they had to order a new camera, A week later I took it back and the camera was replaced with a new updated version. Other than checking for the guidelines, I didn't check for the settings at the dealer (DUH), still had to take it back again to get the software updated. So, the solution was, the Camera was replaced, and software updated. Been several weeks and it still seems fine.
