Default 2008 f-150 Exhaust sucking in air

About 2 months ago I started having trouble with my 2008 F-150. I took it to the ford place to have it checked out. They told me it was the timing so they did the repairs needed and charged me 2700$. Once I picked it up it ran fine but the next day it started right back not idling right and turning off on me. I called the Ford place and they told me to give it about 200 miles to allow the computer to reset itself and it should be back to normal. I did and with no success of it running right. I took it back and they told me I needed a new motor and it was going to cost around 7,000$. I didn't have it especially after spending 2700 a week before. Now it running ragged and rough. It turns off on me when I slow down at stop signs and when it doesn't, it turns off as soon as I accelerate. and It has absolutely no power. when I get on the gas a little it runs like a top with no sputtering or knocking. I noticed last night that the exhaust was making a funny noise and when I investigated it I noticed it was pulling in air through the exhaust pipe. I'm from a very rural community and have always done my own work until now and I have never once heard of a truck pulling in air through the exhaust. Any ideas or suggestions would be amazing!!

What a rip off. Sounds like you may have a plugged cat. That would account for the weird sucking noise and the lack of power. What ever you do find another repair shop.

I just had the same repairs done on my 06' and they had to replace both cats as well cause they were so clogged up from the timing being off. The drivers side cat was actually pushing exhaust back into the motor.
