Default 2007 F150 Rear issue

I recently bought I 2007 F150 that has a bad rear. I know that the driver side axle is missing teeth, not sure if anything else is hurt. Is this a common issue with this generation truck? And can is be a easy fix? Please Help need to get the truck on the road.

not common for an axle shaft to be missing teeth, needs axle shaft and side gear kit at
a minimum. more than likely needs a complete overhaul

Actually after looking at the rear again, it seems the it is the spider gears that is what is chewed up. Is the common and what are the chances that it might be more than just the spider gears.

not very common. if it was mine I would replace pinion and carrier bearings, and crush
sleeve to reset bearing preload. will also need a pinion seal when doing pinion bearings.
if it has limited slip I would also replace the limited slip clutch packs.

Thanks for the insite, I have a mechanic looking at the truck this weekend. Let's see what he says. I am trying to fix the truck the cheapest way possible. The truck is old company truck that I paid $200 for and just need to get it back on the road the fastest and cheapest way I can.
