Default 2006 F150 5.4L V8 Valve issue

Hey guys, newbie here. I wanted to ask a question about the above vehicle. I recently encountered a misfire on my 5.4L in cylinder #6. Took it to a local shop they said they checked the plugs, coils, injectors, without success. Now they want to tear into the head saying it's a valve. I am going to get a second opinion, but my truck only has 75k miles on it, I tow a 7000lb trailer a few times a year through the Sierra Nevada Mountains, other than that its my daily driver. Does it sound reasonable that a valve is causing this? From what the mechanic told me it's 16 hours just to remove and reinstall the head that doesn't include the machine shop costs or any other parts etc. I am wondering if it's worth keeping the truck at this point.

Thanks for any input.

If they did a compression test on the cylinder and it had very low or zero compression, then yes, it could be a valve, but I would still take it somewhere else and get a second opinion.
