2004 Ford F150 Fuel In Oil
I have a 2004 F150 5.4L that i just bought in October of this year with only 13,000 miles on it. Well the other weekend i went up to vegas and i had about 16,000miles on it. Well while going up a hill i lost alot of power and my engine started vibrating. Now since i have been back from vegas i opened up my oil cap and i was able to smell fuel in there. Plus im only getting 12 miles to the gallon. The vibration on the truck only occurs when im at idle or at 1/4 throttle. Any idea what this could be? my check engine light is also on. Need help i went to auto zone but some kid was trying to tell me my rings were messed up. But there is no knocking. it sounds like a misfire in the system.

fuel
wonder if it's an injector issue???? fuel sitting in the cly and getting past the rings over night... might explain the bad mileage if it's pushing too much fuel, and drowning the plug/fouling it... can cause BIG issues if it fills up the cly then you go to start it and break a rod/piston.... look for the thread about blowing up his 5.4.....starting rough also.

Fuel injectors
The same thing happened to my dad's 2005 f-150 and the ford dealer covered it under an extended warranty, seems they were having problems with the injectors, it would be worth a call to your dealership to see if they will clean the injectors for you. They also will change the oil under the warranty too.
