So just switch the cops of #1 and #2 or #2 and #3. These are easy to get to and only require the removal of one electrical push in contact and one small bolt.
See if the cel follows.
If yes, the cop is bad, if no, the plug is bad.
With only 25,000 miles, not likely the plug is bad.
You can do this in less than 10 minutes.

I just hate not being able to do my own work on my own truck. I don't want to wait for the Lisle Tool but this truck is my daily driver.
If the plugs were replaced with the re-man motor they must be SP515 plugs and there will be no issue removing them...the old SP507 plugs were the ones that broke during removal.

That's not a bad idea, I'll probably do that on lunch.

@techrep- They were replaced with the SP515 Motorcraft plugs so I should be ok, it just makes me nervous cause if I screw it up, I'm dead in the water

Like he said, if they're 515s there should be no reason to screw it up if you are remotely competent. The 515s don't break without some real force like the 507s did.

Alright, I swapped the #1 and #2 COP and reset it, I know I have to drive it a little while for the computer to readjust itself. I'm going to go ahead and pick up a COP, with my drive home, it should be long enough for the computer to get readjusted (I know that's not the right word but I can't think of a better one at the moment LOL) and if it follows the COP swap then I'll have the culprit.
