hi everybody, I'm new to the forum and glad I found it, lots of good info. hope someone can help with a question, I recently purchased a 2004 f150 with the 5.4 3valve. Engine is failing, according to the seller, I new that . cam phasers and antifreeze in the oil. I have a 89 Lincoln town car with a 5.0, 112,000 miles and all the wiring. Is this swap something anyone has done, or should I bite the bullet and buy a salvage 5.4, thanks in advance for your thoughts.

That you want to swap into the F150

ya I would like to install the 5.0 and trans from the 89 Lincoln into the 2004 f150 if its not gonna be a nightmare. I have the complete harness and ecm from the Lincoln. just trying to save having to buy a 5.4

Yeah.. I hear you on the saving but, not sure how all that would work out without a lot of headaches.

Drive shaft would need modified also and who knows what else like tranny/ motor mounts. headache. If you got a killer deal on the truck...just drop a re-man motor in it and drive it for 100,000 miles.
