Default 2003 Spark Plugs 5.4 Torque

Torque seems to be a common issue people disagree on... I'm confused!

Ford and a few forums say use anti seize and 14lb-ft...
Forum posts and how to's say no anti seize and 28lb-ft... 28 sounds quite different than 14.

Ford service department says the anti seize and 14lb-ft..

Thoughts? Experience?

Thanks

Ford specs for the 2v 5.4l is 13 lb fts, the only engine i use anti seize on is the 3v 5.4l, and at that i never use it on the treads of the plugs, only the extenders that stick in the head. Hope this is what you were needing to know

Ford has had the issue for a long time of spark plugs blowing out on the 2 valve motors. We now use the 28 ft/lb rating to ensure they don't back out. These heads are good for 80+ ft/lbs before the heads will strip so no worries there. Doing it with no anti seize and 28 ft/lbs has netted only one blowout out of thousands done, Ford's torque spec has caused thousands of blowouts.
